Merino is the Migrant Health and Outreach Program Manager at Vista Community Clinic and has an extensive background in community outreach, health education, and program implementation. The heart of her work centers on supporting the migrant and farmworker communities as well as collaborating with promotores and l\u00edderes comunitarios.<\/p>\n Ms. Merino was the recipient of the Migrant Clinicians Network\u2019s 2023 Kugel & Zuroweste Health Justice Award, which recognizes emerging healthcare professionals who are making a difference in the overlapping areas of vulnerability, migration, and health. Ms Merino\u2019s firsthand experience working alongside her parents as a farmworker and assisting them in navigating resources brings valuable insight into her work.<\/p>\n Ms. Merino currently serves as the San Diego County Promotoras Coalition secretary as well as the Communications chair.
