Liliana Osorio, MPH

Liliana is a Project Manager at the UC San Diego Center for Community Health. Prior to her work at UCSD Liliana was the Director of the Health Initiative of the Americas, at UC Berkeley’s School of Public Health where she worked for 20 years. During that time, she led several projects aiming to improve the health and well-being of Latino immigrants in the U.S., including the coordination of the annual Binational Health Week, one of the largest mobilization efforts in the Americas to offer health education and preventive services to migrant populations. Other projects included the annual Summer Institute on Migration and Global Health, the Research Program in Migration and Health, and the Binational Promotores Program. Liliana managed several state and national campaigns targeting Spanish-speaking Latinos on different health topics including COVID-19, Zika, H1N1 Influenza, Mental Health, and Access to Healthcare Insurance. She has supported the creation and development of several community programs and coalitions, including the San Diego County Promotores Coalition.
